Unilaterally Sarcastic, Dangerously Cheesy

Hey folks, my name is J. Goodson Dodd and I’m a writer. I know that seems an overly simplistic introduction, but allow me to put that out there first and foremost in order to better give a sense of what this website is all about. I started Comics Con Queso in January of 2010 while I was working as the manager of a comic book store in Houston, TX. I had access to a bevy of materials all around me and wanted to share my love of the graphic narrative medium in some way. I decided to start a blog that would do weekly reviews and op/ed pieces about comic news. I left that store at the end of 2010 to focus on other things but the site kept going. As long as I still have a pull-list, I plan on having this site. I have a need to review what I take in and most of the people who know me on a personal level tend to like my reviews because I will often spend more time telling you the positives of what I have seen rather than heralding the negatives. Most of the reviews you will find on this site are ones trying to convince you that whatever I am describing is worth your time. If something is particularly off-putting I may spend time writing it up, but for the most part I don’t want to contribute to the greater internet culture of polished negativity.

I’ve written three novels, two of which are available on Amazon. I understand what it is like for someone to tear your work apart and then turn their attention on you. I truly do. That having been said, I know what it is like to care about a project and I know the pride in getting it from your mind onto paper. This blog is a reflection of my respect for creators. We may get a little sarcastic at times, but for the most part I just want to remind people how good some art can be. If you have any questions you can email me at DoddTheAuthor@Gmail.com. My personal blog, where I talk more heavily about novels I’m reading or things of that nature, can be found at JGoodsonBlog.Wordpress.Com

Stay cheesy my friends,
